Why Canadian farmers use it
A Canadian grazing season is short, so getting the rotation right the first time matters more than almost anywhere else. Overgrazing in June is still costing you feed in September.
Pasture Ai gives you a fast, repeatable measure without carrying extra gear through wet spring paddocks. Photograph, move on, and the record is saved.
Growth rate and wedge reporting show which paddocks have recovered and which need longer, so rest periods can be lengthened before pasture is set back.

Frequently asked questions
Is it useful with such a short grazing season?
Very. A short season means fewer chances to correct a mistake, so an accurate read on cover and recovery at each move has more value, not less. Records also carry over year to year for planning.
Does Pasture Ai work on Canadian farms?
Yes. Pasture Ai works anywhere you have a phone. The model reads sward height, density, colour and structure from the photo itself, so it is not tied to one country's pasture type.
Do I need a plate meter or any hardware?
No. A smartphone is the only device required. There is no plate meter, no C-Dax, no sensors and no calibration equipment to buy or maintain.
What does it measure?
Pasture cover in kgDM/ha, plus DM%, CP% (protein), MJME and NDF% for feed quality. Every assessment is saved against the paddock with the date and location.
Can I do a whole farm walk?
Yes. Assess each paddock in turn and the Farm Walk plan builds a feed wedge, calculates daily pasture growth rate in kgDM/ha/day and produces a PDF report.
How much does it cost to try?
There is a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start the trial and you can cancel anytime from your Account page or by emailing support@pastureai.ai.
