Why Chilean farmers use it
Southern Chile runs some of the most pasture-focused dairying outside New Zealand and Ireland, with rotations that reward accurate measurement through a wet spring and a tightening summer.
Pasture Ai removes the hardware from that process. Photograph each paddock as you walk and the assessment is stored immediately with date and location.
Wedge and growth rate reporting show which paddocks are ahead of the round, and PDF reports make it easy to share the picture with the farm team or an advisor.

Frequently asked questions
Is it suited to southern Chile's wet spring?
Yes. Assessments are taken from a photo, so wet conditions that make a plate meter walk miserable are not a barrier — and quality figures come back alongside cover.
Does Pasture Ai work on Chilean farms?
Yes. Pasture Ai works anywhere you have a phone. The model reads sward height, density, colour and structure from the photo itself, so it is not tied to one country's pasture type.
Do I need a plate meter or any hardware?
No. A smartphone is the only device required. There is no plate meter, no C-Dax, no sensors and no calibration equipment to buy or maintain.
What does it measure?
Pasture cover in kgDM/ha, plus DM%, CP% (protein), MJME and NDF% for feed quality. Every assessment is saved against the paddock with the date and location.
Can I do a whole farm walk?
Yes. Assess each paddock in turn and the Farm Walk plan builds a feed wedge, calculates daily pasture growth rate in kgDM/ha/day and produces a PDF report.
How much does it cost to try?
There is a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start the trial and you can cancel anytime from your Account page or by emailing support@pastureai.ai.
