What is a feed wedge?
A feed wedge is a bar chart of every paddock on the platform, ordered from the most pasture cover to the least. Read left to right it shows the order you should be grazing in, and the shape tells you whether the farm is carrying a surplus, sitting on target, or heading into a deficit.
Traditionally you build one by walking the farm with a plate meter, writing down a reading per paddock and typing the lot into a spreadsheet. Pasture Ai skips the transcription: each photo assessment is already stored against its paddock, so the wedge is assembled as you walk and is current the moment you finish.
Because Pasture Ai captures feed quality alongside cover, the wedge sits next to DM%, CP%, MJME and NDF% for the same paddock — so a decision about which paddock to graze next can weigh quality as well as quantity.
